ALAN TOURS is a family owned tour company based in the coastal city of Port Elizabeth on the South East Coast of South Africa, a land of adventure with an amazing choice of exciting destinations to choose from. Destinations of immense natural beauty amid a diversity of different cultures and interesting lifestyles.
We have over 40 years of experience of guiding folks from around the world to take in the many sights and sounds of this spectacular country.
We are situated within half an hour drive from the internationally renowned, malaria free Addo Elephant National Park, the only place where you can find the Big 7. The traditional members of the Big 5, the Lion, over 700 free roaming African Elephant, Rhino, Cape Buffalo and the shy Leopard amongst the many other species of mammal, birds and reptiles that live in the tangled thickets and wide grassy plains. While parts of Algoa Bay are included in Addo where the remaining two members of the Big 7 can be found, the Great White Sharks and seasonal Whales.
The area is bounded by the marine diversity of Algoa Bay home to over 22 000 Bottlenose Dolphins, super pods of Common Dolphins and the migratory Humpback and Southern Right Whales during our winter and early summer months. The largest penguin colony in Africa and the biggest breeding colony of gannets anywhere, can be found on the islands in Algoa Bay.
We personalize tours in small groups travelling along the Garden Route to Cape Town and beyond as well as to the mighty savannas of the Kruger National Park and across their borders into Mozambique.
We will plan and guide your safari from the cold ocean deserts of the West Coast with their Spring flower extravaganza, across the country to submerge yourselves in the warm tropical seas of the East Coast.
